The BiWelder model 254 is a revolutionary new welder using inverter technology which allows the machine to function without a transformer. This means including the torch, it weighs only 16 pounds!! In addition, the machine is so smart it can be plugged into either 110V or 220V, without changing as much as a switch. It knows what voltage it's plugged into. This is a DC machine which welds steel, stainless, chrome moly, etc. but does not TIG weld aluminum. For an aluminum capable AC/DC Square Wave TIG, please see the Heliarc 161 below. Comes standard with TIG torch and gas valve. Options include electrode holder for stick welding- $27, variable amp control torch- $175 or foot pedal- $175.
